MAnic Monday Hideaways

After a great holiday in Italy back with our Manic Monday Hideaways. And this one is in my favorite city New York. This ultra-cool, luxury-lifestyle hotel in Brooklyn is 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, located in the striking Brooklyn Heights neighborhood.the This beauty is designed with pure and natural elements like reclaimed woods, industrial steel and a stunning 25-foot green wall in the lobby. I love Manhattan, but next time I'm sleeping on the other side ( with a magnificent view)

A visit to Japan is on the top of my bucket list. The food, nature, cities and people are so different from my country and that fascinates me. And now I found the perfect hideaway; a floating hotel!. No not a cruise, no daily bingo, karaoke or shuffleboarding, but pure zen.😍Just 19 suites, with floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies. What a dream. Ok, it is a bit expensive, but don’t forget, it includes all the sushi, champagne and sake you can handle.🤪

The location is perfect, the vibe is perfect, the design is a dream. This hotel ticks all the boxes for me. But then again, I love the style of Interior designer Dorothee Meilichzon. She turned the Hotel Panache, situated on the corner of rue du Faubourg Montmartre and rue Geoffrey Marie, into a breathtaking place.
As Audrey Hepburn once said ‘ Paris is always a good idea’.
Especially in this hideaway!

Away from the Mexican beautiful
bright-white beaches is a beautiful alternative. The colourful and colonial city of Mérida. Once home to the greatest concentration of wealth of the world. Now home of one of the most instagrammable hotel of the world
Rosas & Xocolate. A beautiful pink hide-away that is an absolute dream. When I close my eyes, I can see myself at the pool, sipping a nice Strawberry Margarita.🍸

Budget, Design and Londen, somehow that doesn’t fit in one sentence. I found the ‘golden ticket’. Qbic London is a great, funny and cool place in the middle of hip and happening Shoreditch The sarcastic note on the floor “Oh no, not you again!”, at the entrance, gives you a instant smile. And somehow that sarcasm makes you feel right at home.

I love Italy and thought I knew Italy. Really knew it. Not just the design capital, Milan, and historic Rome & Florence or the glamour destinations like Capri and the Amalfi Coast. Boy, was I naive. Hidden in the south of Italy, in beautiful Matera you can sleep in a cave. Yes, a cave, but wait till you see La Dimora di Metello. Every room has a crisp white palette. The walls are rock formations created from volcanic ash, a layer of plaster enhances the existing texture. Wooden furniture was chosen to complement the neutral interiors of the caves. What a dream!
